Angled Corner Built-In Baths

ANGLED CORNER BATH TUBS are usually used in larger bathrooms to create a luxurious, spacious looking bathroom.

However, they can be just as useful in a smaller or awkwardly shaped bathroom. Due to the shorter wall length required for installation, corner baths only require 1300-1500mm of wall space to give a bath of similar size to a standard 1500-1800mm bath.

Angled Corner Built-In Baths are available as an Inset/ Drop-In, or Island style bath.

Corner baths are generally large enough for 2 person bathing with their generous bathing area and gentle sloping backrests .

SLIP-RESISTANT BASE
Some Inset Built-In baths are available with a raised patterned slip resistant base.

If you are using your bath as a shower/bath the slip resistant base will provide a more stable footing when showering.

TILING EDGE
Many Angled Corner Built-In baths will have a raised lip around the perimeter of the bath. This is called a Tiling Edge.

The tiling edge is designed to be notched slightly into the wall with the wall linings and tiling extending over the tiling edge to create a more waterproof installation.

It is very important if you are using the bath as a shower/bath that you choose a bath with a tiling edge.

INSTALLATION
Angled Corner baths are available as an Inset Built-In or Island Installation.

WASTE POSITIONS
Most Angled Corner Baths will have the waste in the center of the bath as they are mostly made for 2 people batheing, this saves someone from having to sit on the plug.

OVERFLOW
Some baths may be fitted with an overflow. The overflow is a hole (generally covered by an attractive chrome cover) towards the top of the bath. It's job is to stop the bath from overflowing. As the water level reaches the overflow any excess water will be re-directed to the waste outlet by a pipe or tube concealed behind the bath.
